Louis P. Batson Company is exhibiting at Techtextil North America 2016, May 3rd through May 5th, at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, Georgia. Our booth number is 3106.

Specific items include: spare parts for SMIT looms, harness frames, warp stop motion devices, roll covering, oven belting, needleboard repair service, greases and oils, tenter clips and chains, circular knife blades and blade holders, air shafts, safety chucks and much more.

Introduced exclusively at Techtextil 2016, are the Klöcker DiskRunner® and LE/1 Circular Knife Sharpener.

Klöcker GmbH DiskRunner®:

  • This newly developed system produces a full cross binding and a pro-leno binding (two twists between picks). The Batson booth will feature the DiskRunner® in action on a modified display unit.
  • For projectile weaving machines, the DiskRunner® provides the option of a full cross leno binding.
  • For air-jet, rapier and projectile machines weaving multiple panels of fabric, the DiskRunner® in double execution has a narrow profile that allows installation between panels.
  • Weaving machines having rotary/planetary full cross lenos at the insertion and receiving sides of the weaving machine can now have full cross binding of the selvedges of the interior panels.
  • The DiskRunner’s® maximum speed is 700 ppm. And, it’s available in single and double versions.

LE/1 Circular Knife Sharpener:

  • For companies actively seeking a solution to bringing their knife sharpening in-house while still maintaining precise, consistent knife sharpening, the LE/1 Knife Sharpener is a wise investment.
  • The Batson LE/1 Sharpener is designed specifically for the re-sharpening of circular knives used in the converting of paper, film, foil, textiles and other webs. Each sharpener is custom engineered and constructed to specific customer demand.
  • The LE/1 is used for the sharpening of single- or double-beveled knives from 1” to 20” in diameter at any angle, including negative angles, from -15 to +90 degrees. Power grip timing belts run from the motor to the wheel to increase horsepower for a better grind and finish. The variable-speed drive maintains spindle speed control. Plus, the LE/1 can be adapted to special applications.
