Customized Industry Applications
We have years of experience in the design and implementation of custom automated packaging systems. Our portfolio of clients include book binderies, electronics manufacturing facilities and agricultural applications. Please choose from the following case studies to find out more about each application.
The Book Bindery System is a collaboration of both old standard machines and innovative new custom machines to create an efficient and cost-effective system in packaging books. The system consisted of 4 main parts: carton erecting, carton and book conveying, packing of books into carton, and finally the weight checking of each carton.
Carton Erecting
The carton erecting was done by our new compact ELVS carton erector.
Conveying
After the erecting of the carton, our custom conveying system would transport both the erected carton and the pile of binded books to our new and innovative specially customized drop pack placepacker.
Drop Pack Placepacker
The pile of binded books is then dropped into the individual cartons using our exclusive drop pack technology.
Weight Check
The weight check station uses the addition of a a high resolution ink jet printer that prints a barcode onto the carton. Once labeled, the carton then travels through a scale to check that the carton has been packed with the appropriate number of books. Once quality is assured the carton is then sealed by one of our standard carton sealers. If the carton is over or under filled, the carton is diverted into another line that leads to repacking.
