The SMART 200 MTC Production Control System with IS3W/MTC image sensors has two functions; meter counter, and yarn broken detector. The system is used on yarn winding machines; doubling and cross winding.
The SMART 200 MTC is a new yarn control system for advanced production control, that allows the accurate count of yarn meters wound on doubling or winding machines.
This system consists of a SMART 200 MTC terminal which communicates with IS3W/MTC sensors, installed at the machine traversing point with traverse control, during the yam collection phase.
The sensor, installed upstream of the drum zone, is able to intercept and count the number of traverses carried out. A DRUM function, allows set up of the drum length, and therefore the length of yarn that will be wound on the bobbin during the stroke. With this function it is possible to program the number of meters required for each bobbin (TARGET) in an accurate and reliable way and to stop automatically the position, when the TARGET is reached.
The COUNT function shows, in real time,the meters of yarns collected.
The IS3W/MTC sensor is able to detect missing yam due to an anomaly, for instance a broken yarn, or a yarn winding problem on a grooved drum. Thanks to the image variation technique, IS3W/MTC sensors are immune to ambient yarn conditions (like yarn humidity, conductivity) and machine vibrations.
Furthermore, the image variation technique doesn’t require contact with the yarn and allows perfect monitoring without affecting the characteristics (e.g. tension) of the yarn.
Because of an innovative sensor management system (Smart Scanning Sensors), SMART 200 MTC does not need complex wire assembly and installation, and it can control up to 200 strands of yarn.
