Wastewater Solutions 
Industrial operations today are facing difficult challenges when it comes to wastewater treatment and recycling. Waste violations alone can shut down a company, or at the least, drastically increase operating costs. The good news is Louis P. Batson Company, a full-service provider of industrial equipment, has partnered with DMP Corporation, manufacturer of wastewater systems, to offer a solution to virtually any industrial water treatment challenge.

Together, Batson and DMP Corporation can offer a “Total Water Production Package” which includes everything from automated continuous-flow or batch wastewater treatment systems to state-of-the-art “clean water” and “recycle water” systems. Furthermore, DMP coordinates an on-site review of a company’s processes, piping and equipment installation. Treatability testing enables them to estimate reagent cost, specify equipment and verify discharge requirements. Upon acceptance of the proper system and verification of discharge requirements, DMP will provide a written guarantee of discharge compliance.

Wastewater Treatment for Continuous Flow and Batch Processing

Continuous flow processing faces the challenge of wastewater treatment systems that can keep up. DMP has designed and manufactured a Module Series system based on standardized modular designs. Their "building block" approach allows for quick delivery of complete systems that are customized to meet the requirements of an individual customer. The Module Series can handle continuous flows of 10 gpm all the way up to 400 gpm and more. Here are the three most popular models:

  • The Module 1500 is a fully automatic, continuous flow system that handles 10 gpm. The compact Module 1500 requires only 10 x 18 feet of floor space.
  • TheModule 2000 is a fully automatic, continuous flow system capable of treating 20 gpm. The standard system requires only 16 x 20 feet of floor space. It features the latest advancements in wastewater treatment technology, including the most advanced controls on the market today.
  • The Module 6000 (pictured above) system offers fully automatic operation through DMP’s most advanced control center, the E-Controller/10. It handles up to 60 gpm and requires only 15 x 28 feet of floor space.

For batch processing, DMP's BT Series is designed to handle complicated wastes such as spent baths, electroless solutions, and mechanical finishing wastes, in batches of 1,000 to 10,000 gallons. Here are their two most popular models:

  • The fully automatic BT 1000 handles wastewater in batches of 1000 gallons and occupies only 13 x 21 feet of floor space. Similar designs handle batches of 1500, 2000, 2500, 3500 and 4000 gallons.
  • The fully automatic BT 5000 handles wastewater in batches of 5,000 gallons and occupies only 22 x 39 feet of floor space. Similar designs handle batches of 5000, 6000, 7000, 8000, 9000 and 10,000 gallons.

State-of-the-Art System Control Centers

Thousands of decisions are required every day to control a wastewater treatment system. With the advent of the global age in business, companies now locate manufacturing plants not just miles apart, but countries - even continents - apart, so that simply communicating with automation systems is a challenge.

DMP’s advanced Control Centers easily rise to this challenge. Utilizing computers and programmable logic controllers, Control Centers monitor all critical functions and components of a system. They make programmed decisions, or when human input is a must, help the operator make decisions to cope with thousands of potential problems. From anywhere in the world, treatment systems equipped with DMP Control Centers can be monitored and controlled. Programming can be updated and data can be gathered and archived.

Water Reclamation Systems

In the past, talking about water recycling was usually a lot cheaper than actually doing it. The availability of new water at inexpensive prices kept the demand for recycle and reuse technology low, and thus the price of complicated recycling equipment high. Today, the situation is changing. Water costs are rising while automation is bringing down the overall cost of owning sophisticated equipment. From simple filtering to a full reverse osmosis and/or de-ionizer system, DMP can integrate recycling equipment with other pretreatment and treatment systems, all under a single monitoring and control system.
